8 Minute Meditation: Quiet Your Mind. Change Your Life.
One of the most horrible things in the world is a panic attack. Anxiety is something that almost everyone has to experience sometime in their lives, but people who have constant and horrible panic attacks have to worry about the effects that it has on their lifestyle and the lives of people around them. Panic attacks are not easy to control, but they’re also not completely unavoidable. There are many ways that you can help cure your own anxiety. Although there are not any scientific ways to completely get rid of your anxiety, there actually are plenty of semi-scientific ways.
One of the best of these things is meditation. People who begin meditating generally learn how to avoid having the same type of panic attacks that they were having before, as they now have a more passive and calm approach towards things. Meditation is something that has existed for thousands of years, and has proven to be a cure for numerous types of psychological problems. There is no reason why you shouldn’t start getting into meditation to help with your panic attacks or any other physical or psychological problem. As something that has constantly worked for millions of people, there’s no reason why you shouldn’t start.
Try sitting down somewhere, free of any distractions, and closing your eyes. It would be best to sit somewhere not too comfortable, so try to avoid the couch. As you sit with your eyes closed, concentrate on nothing but your own breath. Consciously follow it as you breath in and out. If your minds starts to drift off and think about your daily problems, catch yourself and bring your full concentration back to your breath. Sit like this each day for about 8 minutes. Pick a time that is more comfortable for you, but early morning is best.
As you follow this simple technique and dedicate only 8 minutes a day to it, you with gradually start to notice the improvements. Your concentration will be better and you will overall feel like you are living your life more consciously.
